What is human is to feel human, that we are us. Not if we don't feel like us, we're then inhuman, below the human -- below consideration of being human. Those who deny themselves as being animals are below human. The humanist cannot be anti-globalist as that negates the understanding we are only tribalistic by ignorant nurture, not of nature. We have the ability to cooperate the more intelligent we become: to see the good aspects of another (as there always is) and, if applicable, help them become a better them and help you in doing so as well. I've been reading a book by Carl Sagan, The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark, and as one would guess, it's made me question a lot of things pertaining to the quintessence of life and science. I'm only 54 pages into the book and I definitely have a long ways to go to finish it, but I still think it's a quite important read. It's taught me a lot of made me change a lot about what and how I think. One thing I've drawn from it is how much more interested the world is with pseudoscience rather than actual science. Sagan addresses this better in his book than I ever could, but I wanted to at least address it. I've tackled this
